Algarve Cruises

I am considering taking a cruise trip to Alaska and what I have in mind is: "7 Day Alaska Cruise, Roundtrip from Vancouver aboard ms Volendam"



Someone said Volendam is a pretty old ship and should avoid. Is that true? Or there is no big difference between Volendam and a newer ship?

Shan, the MS Volendam is a great ship. You will enjoy a cruise on her. She does not have some of the newer things that you will find on some cruise ships, like climbing walls, etc. The food will be wonderful as will the service. My wife and I are going on the MS Veendam this October, and have been on the Volendam, too.

I've been to Ak. on HAL amsterdam, which is also considered an older ship, I can't say enough good things about HA, I'm sure you will enjoy your cruise.

for a first time cruise, it wont matter. you will have fun anyway. then you can upgrade or just take a different ship for a second or third cruise. have fun..I know you will enjoy it.. ALOT.

The Volendam is a beautiful, relatively small ship. Holland has wonderful service and very good food. It should be a wonderful choice for Alaska - or anywhere else. We loved the Volendam.
