Algarve Cruises

wanting to take a carnival cruise, but concerned that they allow smoking in the staterooms - don't want to have a smokey room - i know smoke by casino etc...any help with be appreciated - cruised three other times but not on carnival - thanks

I've been on Carnival and on my second cruise I was surprised to find out smoking was allowed in the staterooms. I went on the Elation my first time, an older ship, and never caught a whiff of smoke in my room. It was very fresh and comfortable. It wasn't until my upcoming second cruise that I learned that all non-spa staterooms allowed smoking. you could have fooled me. I am a smoker, and during my first cruise I refrained from smoking anywhere but the casino one day, so for me to not smell smoke in a room should tell you something.

smoking is not allowed in the staterooms. however, it may be allowed on balconies, i am not sure. i just recently went on a carnival cruise, and i did not think smoke was a problem other than in the casino.

All cruise lines have similar policies. But your travel agent should be able to get you a none smoking room and give you the other answers you need.
